WELL THEN. There’s a Change.org petition with over 44,000 signatures to remove Bronwyn Bishop as Speaker of the House. Start date: two days ago.
Jeez, Australia, you really know how to get crackin’ when you’re fired up.
We’d remind you of that whole $5,000 monumental fuck up of a helicopter ride, but since it’s next to impossible to be on the internet (and thereby reading this article) and NOT know about it, here’s a few, more humorous reminders:

YOU GET THE PICTURE. Bronwyn + helicopter + $5,000 = (FYI that’s also an accurate representation of the Reclaim Australia Rally on the weekend.)
Here’s what the petition has to say:
Earlier today old mate Tony Abbott made the decision to put Bronny on probation, while still maintaining his position as possibly the ~only~ person publicly supporting her. (Anyone out there? Hello? Hello? Bueller?)
This was following – although as if they’d ever confirm it was the catalyst – the Daily Telegraph outlining that her expenses exceeded $800,000 for 2014.
“I can really understand why people are unhappy about this,” said Abbott. “Frankly, I’m unhappy as well. She has been a strong Speaker… she has been a strong servant of our country and so she does have my confidence but like everyone who has done something like this, inevitably, for a period of time, they are on probation.”
He’s not angry, he’s just disappointed.
