PETA have called for the dentist who murdered Cecil the Lion to be killed.
“He needs to be extradited, charged, and preferably, hanged,” PETA’s President Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement, published in TIME.
“Hunting is a coward’s pastime. If, as has been reported, this dentist and his guides lured Cecil out of the park with food so as to shoot him on private property, because shooting him in the park would have been illegal, he needs to be extradited, charged, and, preferably hanged.”
PETA. Not the chillest of organisations.
The dentist in question – a certain scum of the earth douchebag by the name of Walter J Palmer – has gone into hiding since the entire world started raining hellfire upon him (and leaving stuffed animals outside his practice).
He’s also hired a PR firm to manage his death threats / plummeting reputation, who right now must be finding it hard to do any kind of PR work at all from their scalding hot shower.
If you’re mere seconds away from rage quitting your computer / phone / entire day and heading straight for the nearest bar, let some of that anger be funnelled through Jimmy Kimmel going to absolute town on Palmer: “Is it that difficult for you to get an erection?” Yes, probably.
