Meanwhile in America, the New York Police Department are trying to track down a clumsy man – who after excitedly proposing to his now fiancée – dropped the engagement ring down a drain in Times Square.

UNLUCKY AS HELL.
Video of the incident uploaded to the NYPD Twitter account show the aftermath of the proposal. While his partner watches, the man drops to his stomach on the sidewalk but the ring is 3000 per cent out of his reach.
However, New York’s finest came to the rescue.
“WANTED for dropping his fiancée’s ring in @TimesSquareNYC,” the NYPD tweeted. “She said Yes – but he was so excited that he dropped the ring in a grate. Our @NYPDSpecialops officers rescued it & would like to return it to the happy couple.”
In a following tweet, the NYPD shared a picture of the ring all clean and shiny.

The video has been viewed almost a million times so here’s hoping the couple have somehow come across it.
