As a first time Trek experience, J.J. Abrams’ franchise re-boot Star Trek was pretty excellent. That’s not to say I’ve gone out and Shatnered myself with Nimoy era offerings but I’m certainly looking forward to Abrams’ next entry into the series.
So what to expect from Star Trek Into The Darkness? Going off the new poster, they’ll be tearing London a new one with the smoking city visible through the Star Trek delta insignia shaped gaping hole. And who is that mysterious figure atop the the smouldering rubble. Kirk, Spock, rumored villain Khan, or Keanu Reeves’ Neo stuck in the wrong film?
With Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg and the rest of the Enterprise crew returning for the latest adventure, Paramount have promised “an epic chess game of life and death,”
where “love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices
must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.” Expect the first trailer later next week.
