More and more people are coming forward with their own stories of James Woods being a sexual creep after Amber Tamblyn revealed the actor had tried to pick her up age just 16.
If you missed that mess yesterday, it all started after Woods made a homophobic comment about the two fictional characters in upcoming gay love film Call Me By Your Name (one is 24, the other 17), equating that age difference to pedophilia.
The film’s star, Armie Hammer, replied to his tweet to question his outrage when Woods himself dated a 20-year-old when he was 66.
And that in turn saw Tamblyn reveal that Woods had tried to pick her up when she was still an underage teenager.
James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. “I’m 16” I said. “Even better” he said.

Woods – an actor whose past is littered with homophobia, transphobia, and general grossness – denied the story, tweeting that it was “a lie”, but others are coming forward with their own stories.
First up, Tamblyn herself tweeted further evidence to her story, and promised more to come still.
Since I know people love to question the intengrity and honesty of women when they come forward with stories like this, here you go. pic.twitter.com/rchYilrjuZ

Calling me liar, James? This is now far from over. That I can promise.

And then more and more people said they or friends had had similar experiences.

He tried 2 date a girl in my dorm freshman year. She’d put him off saying she had to study; he’d say bring your books; she was 18, he was 50

We believe you. I heard the same thing about him in the 90s from Russian girls in my community.

Obviously, this is conjecture. People tweeting that their friends had similar stories of Woods being a predator isn’t the same as those friends coming forward themselves, but considering women get victim blamed or called liars for speaking up about sexual harassment and worse, you can hardly blame people for staying silent.
There’s no smoke without fire, and James Woods has proven himself time and time again to be a fiery piece of shit.
