A 22 year-old man from Marrickville was arrested by Police and charged with supplying a prohibited drug, after he was allegedly found carrying 450 MDMA tablets on him at the Midnight Mafia Dance Party at the Sydney Showground over the weekend.
Police also arrested three other men for drug related crimes, and 16 people were nabbed for carrying Jerry Springers.
Four people were also transported to hospital from the party for drug-related illnesses, but all are expected to make full recoveries.
The man who was arrested for carrying the 450 tablets – which narrowly avoided being the greatest drug bust of all time by 30 tablets – is due to appear in Parramatta Court this week to have his charges heard.
The party’s organiser – Harder Styles United – had warned punters about the police attention the event would attract, posting on Facebook alerting any potential Gurner & Hooches to the presence of authorities.
The party began early on the Saturday night and ran until 6am Sunday morning – with all remaining punters presumably getting their energy to rage all night from Vitamin B tablets and bananas and other natural sources that make your pupils look like hockey pucks.
