M.I.A To Make Versace Collaboration

Amidst getting sued for a casual $1.5 million, M.I.A is reportedly being super badass as usual, slyly announcing an upcoming collaboration with Versace. According to WWD, M.I.A let slip at a Balenciaga show that, “I have a collaboration with Versace coming out in two weeks”. I mean, come to think of it, If I was getting sued for $1.5 million, I’d probably be grabbing at any inevitable cash-flowing opportunity as physically possible, too.

The project adds to M.I.A’s increasingly multidisciplinary oeuvre, with her album Matangi coming out in November, and the documentary of the same name probably coming out never. Poor M.I.A.

WWD claims that the collab is likely to be apart of Donatella Versace‘s Versus line — inviting celebrities/designers/artists to interpret the brand through their own eye. JW Anderson currently headlines the brand, but with this news it looks like everybody’s favourite Bad Girl will be steering the ship from now on. Totally in to this, expect some swell swaggin’.
