To prove that everything is just a copy of a copy of a copy, the legendary giver of no fucks, bird-flipping M.I.A has teamed up with Versace to create her own spin on the Versus line.
To appropriately tip the often nauseating world of #fashun on its head and inject it with a Bad Girl dose, M.I.A claims her collection was “inspired bythe creativity of fashion bootleggers” and told WWD “The theme of counterfeits, of those that produce and sell them has always been part of the culture of M.I.A…When I was contacted by Versace, it seemed a great idea to invert the
circle. Versace’s designs have always been copied, now it’s Versace that
copies the copies, so those that copy must copy the copies. So this
will continue.” Gurl, I have absolutely no idea what any of that means but don’t ever stop what you’re doing.
