Lea Michele And Gleeks Tear Up During Emotional Tribute To Cory Monteith

Glee Star Lea Michele has made her first public appearance since the death of her late boyfriend and former co star Cory Monteith, 31, who died last month from a lethal overdose of heroin and alcohol.

At the Teen Choice Awards overnight, Lea Michele, who played the on screen girlfriend of Monteith’s Finn Hudson, took home the Choice TV Comedy Actress Award, accepting the prize with an emotional speech flanked by fellow Glee co-stars.

Thanking fans for privacy and support during the last few weeks since Monteith’s death, Michele praised the dedicated fans of Glee, fondly known as Gleeks: “Not that I had any doubt before,
but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world. And I
wanted to dedicate this award to Cory for all of you who loved and
admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love, we’re
going to get through this together.”

Paying tribute and dedicating her award to Cory Monteith, Lea Michele said, “So whether you
knew him personally or just as Finn Hudson, Cory reached out and he
became a part of all of our hearts, and that’s where he’ll stay for
ever. So thank you guys so much. Thank you
.”

:'(  There’s just a lot stuff in both of my eyes right now.
