Lea Michele Posts Heartbreaking Tribute To Cory Monteith, Four Years On

Four years after Glee star Cory Monteith’s death, and it’s still not any easier to think about – and that’s just that’s for us, the punters who watched his star grow on the hit musical series.

So, spare a thought for Lea Michele, Monteith’s former partner and Glee co-star, who has issued a lil’ public tribute on the anniversary of his death.
Taking to Twitter, Michele shared a photo of the former couple with a simple, heartfelt caption.

That’s not the only message in her post, though: it appears she’s wearing the jacket donned by Monteith during his role as high school quarterback Finn Hudson.

A little earlier this year, Michele told Women’s Health that she now has three tatts honouring the Canadian.

There’s a tiny ‘Finn’ tattooed on her butt, inspired by the on-screen tatt her character Rachel Berry landed in Season 5; ‘If you say so’, the title of the song she penned in the immediate aftermath of his death, is inked on her ribcage; and Finn’s football number, ‘5’, is another tiny, permanent addition.

Monteith’s co-star Kevin McHale also posted a tribute to the bloke.

Monteith died as a result of heroin and alcohol consumption, with a coroner concluding “there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident.”
RIP.
