Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West have emerged from their home for the first time since the horrifying attack in Paris.
If you’ve somehow missed this entire story: Kim was bound and held at gun point by five men dressed as police officers in a Parisian hotel room, and robbed of AUD $14 million worth of jewellery. It’s been reported that she begged the attackers for her life, and thought that they were going to rape and kill her.
Sources close to her have told media that she’s been extremely shaken by the experience (as anyone would be), and is now expanding the security team as both her and Kanye are scared for the safety of their two children, North and Saint West. A source has told E! that security has been “amped up 1000%”.
The entire Kardashian family has taken part in a social media blackout, as it was reported by French police that the attackers targeted Kim due to her proudly displaying a multimillion dollar ring Kanye had given her on her public Instagram account.
Since the attack, Kim and Kanye have taken refuge in their apartment in New York City and have not left the premises at all.
Today, they emerged for the first time, with Kim choosing the most casual outfit anyone has ever seen her wear – to the point that she’s essentially unrecognisable.
Not only is she wearing Vans sneakers (not even adidas / Yeezy), she’s wearing a giant oversized hoodie and a cap, so no one can see her face.
Even the biggest critics of the Kardashian family (and brand) know that Kim has literally never dressed like this in public. Not that there’s anything wrong with it; the relaxed style is just not in her usual wheelhouse, it’s not in line with her brand, and it’s not what she enjoys wearing. Even her cosiest tracksuits are usually paired with teetering heels.
According to E! News, Kim left the apartment out the back entrance holding a visibly distressed North, and Kanye emerged behind her, carrying baby Saint:

A black Escalade had been loaded with their luggage early the same morning, and they left in two trucks and reportedly ‘will travel all day together today’.
Kim’s bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, was also seen going into the apartment. He has publicly stated that he was going to find the men that did this to Kim, but the news emerged yesterday that he is also a million dollars in debt and has declared bankruptcy, which many are claiming as suspicious.
Much criticism has rained down on the reality star after the traumatic event, and source told E! that she’s distressed that people think she’d ever make up a story like this:
“It’s crazy to her that people, even for a second, think she is fabricating this story. She feels like no one understands her and what she been through.”
While Kanye has rescheduled two of the concerts on his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour to be with his family after the scare, Kim is “not sure” how much time she’ll take off but it’ll likely be “about a month”.
