It was supposed to be her first public appearance since the terrifying Paris robbery that effectively wiped her from social media, but Kim Kardashian West has bowed out of an event to honour her late father after Kanye West‘s shock hospitalisation.
Kim was due to attend the Angel Ball in NYC, but was urgently called away after Ye was taken to UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation shortly after news he’d cancelled the remainder of his Pablo tour for alleged severe exhaustion.
It was a pretty important event for the whole family – a black-tie dinner in honour of Robert Kardashian, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003, hosted by Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research – but Khloé, Kourtney and Kris were in attendance, along with Corey Gamble and Jonathan Cheban.
The group rocked up 45 minutes after the event started – presumably to avoid any red carpet questions about Kanye’s health – but a fan did take a punt and called out “How’s Kanye?”, to which Kris replied: “Exhausted!”
As we reported earlier, police responded to a welfare check on Yeezy at the LA home of his trainer, Harley Pasternak, at around 1:20 PM PT – hours after he canned the Pablo tour.
He was reportedly “acting erratically” and everyone – from his management to paramedics – convinced him he should see a medical professional.
Kayne was said to be irritable about being forced to go, and had to restrained by handcuffs to a gurney during transportation to UCLA.
