Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced the official release of their new collaborative project, a baby girl, and today, Kim has taken to twitter to reveal the precious infant’s name. World, get ready to meet Chicago West.

While she didn’t explain the reasoning behind the choice of name, Kanye spent his formative years in Chicago, so it certainly checks out in that sense. The couple are already calling her Chi, which is, of course, adorable.

Khloe Kardashian Tweeted out her fondness for the name earlier today, and gave a handy guide to pronunciation – it’s ‘shy’, in case there was any confusion there.

The child was born via surrogate, after complications when Kim was pregnant with her second baby, Saint. She announced the conception on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying:
Kanye and I have always talked about having more kids, but after what I went through in Paris, the urgency is even greater. I’d just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that is safe. And if for some reason I left this earth sooner than I really wanted to, then my kids would have a support system at home so that I know that they would be OK if I wasn’t there.
