Kevin Spacey Accused Of Making Unwanted Sexual Advance On 14 Y.O. Actor

Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp has gone on the record to accuse Kevin Spacey of making an unwanted sexual advance on him when he was only 14 years old.

In a report by BuzzFeed News, Rapp says the pair had met while they were both working on Broadway in the late 1980s.

Rapp states Spacey invited him to his apartment for a party, which he then attended without parental supervision. Bored of the party and of not knowing anyone else there, Rapp sat in a bedroom and watched TV until past midnight. Rapp says he realised he was the only guest remaining when Spacey appeared in the doorway.

Rapp states Spacey, who has historically been circumspect about his sexuality, appeared to be drunk when he entered the room. Rapp says Spacey then “picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold.

“But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then he lays down on top of me.”

Spacey “was, like, pressing into me” and “tightening his arms“, Rapp says, characterising the experience as him “trying to seduce me.

“I don’t know if I would have used that language. But I was aware that he was trying to get with me sexually.”

Rapp says he was able to “squirm” away from Spacey, but that he was followed to the front door as he tried to leave. Spacey reportedly asked the boy if he was absolutely sure he wanted to leave. Rapp said he did, and that he was able to walk out of the apartment.

Rapp says he confided about the incident with those close to him in the years afterwards, and even retold the incident to The Advocate in 2001 with Spacey’s name redacted. BuzzFeed News reached out to those Rapp spoke to regarding the incident, who confirmed those conversations took place.

Rapp’s named accusation comes after years of rumours regarding Spacey’s allegedly aggressive behaviour. His decision to come forward so publicly was partially spurred by the mounting accusations of sexual abuse levelled against producer Harvey Weinstein, as Rapp says he was moved “to try to shine another light on the decades of behavior that have been allowed to continue because many people, including myself, being silent.”

BuzzFeed News says they contacted Spacey’s representatives for comment. So far, they have not responded, but you can read Rapp’s full account HERE.
