Karl Stefanovic Reckons His Instagram Got Hacked While He Was Out Fishing

Former Today Show host Karl Stefanovic has posted on his Instagram to say that his account was hacked over the weekend while he was out casting a line in his boat, which is the reason why his account was faving a bunch of suss comments about his Today Show successors.

The post, shared by Karl on Sunday night, has the big man sitting in a boat with a cute German shepherd pup, with text stating that he’s working with authorities to pin down exactly who gained control of his account, and faved a heap of comments that openly criticise the revamped lineup of journalists and presenters on the Today Show, including ones that said that “fans demand answers“, presumably for Karl’s departure.

The comments on the post explaining the ~account’s behaviour~ are pretty divided. Some folks are in support of Karlos, even going as far as to say they’re boycotting the Today Show after his departure. Others are sceptical that his account was even hacked, because hey maybe King Karl just got on the tins late on Saturday night and got a bit upset about not being able to wake up with Today anymore. (I know that’s no reason to support the criticism of others but honestly, who knows what’s happened here.)

Some supporters of Stefanovic are convinced that his departure from Today has left him wide open for being sent to South Africa for the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! which premieres on Sunday, January 13.

Despite all this theorising, Karl’s assured his followers that he’s going to get to the bottom of this.

The new lineup of the Today Show has Georgie Gardner and Deb Knight leading the program – the first time two women have been at the helm of the breakfast program – with Tom Steinfort joining as a newsreader, Tony Jones on sports reporting, Ross Greenwood in for finance, and Brooke Boney making the move over from Triple J to take over entertainment from Richard Wilkins.
