Court Allows Justin Bieber To Subpoena Twitter To Identify His Sexual Assault Accusers

A US court has granted Justin Bieber a motion allowing him to subpoena Twitter to provide information on the identities of the women accusing him of sexual assault.

When applying for the motion, Bieber’s lawyer Evan Spiegel told Judge Terry Green that he suspects the same person might be behind two Twitter accounts that accused Bieber of sexual assault.

“We just want to uncover who is behind these two accounts and it may be the same person,” he said.

There was some confusion as to the paintiff’s identity. When giving his ruling, Judge Green mispronounced the name “Justin Bieber” and asked if he should be familiar with the singer.

Spiegel said that Bieber is well-known to “various demographics.” The judge reportedly responded: “I gather demographics not 73 and over.”

Last month, two women identified as “Danielle” and “Kadi” accused the singer of sexual assault, in a series of Tweets that have since gone viral.

Justin Bieber responded rapidly, denying the first allegation, saying that it was “factually impossible” and that he had “indisputable documentary evidence” to prove it.

Regarding the second, he pointed to Tweets from the accused in which she claimed never to have met him.

It was reported at the time that Bieber believed the allegations to have come from the same person, and he has filed a $20 million defamation suit.
