Just when you think a story couldn’t get any sweeter, this comes around and knocks your heart for six.
Jamie Foxx saved a man’s life overnight by pulling him out of a burning truck, putting himself in some very real danger in the process. The actor / top bloke found Brett Kyle’s vehicle overturned and aflame in California’s Ventura Country, and teamed up with an off-duty EMT to get Kyle the hell out.
Kyle was found to be driving under the influence. Considering the circumstances, he was extremely bloody lucky Foxx was around at the time.
His dad reckons so, too. Foxx and the man’s pa had a chance to meet earlier today, and the Academy Award winner shared the moment with the public.

After the incident, Foxx said “I don’t look at it as heroic. I just look at it as… you just had to do something.” We’re willing to bet his interpretation of “do something” didn’t cover “unleashing tides of emotion,” but here we are.
