J.K. Rowling Says That Hermione And Harry Should Have Ended Up In True Love

In an interview with Wonderland Magazine famous muggle, J.K. Rowling, speaks about her decision to marry off Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger at the end of the popular book series Harry Potter.

Emma Watson, who worked on the issue as guest editor, cover gal and interviewer of Rowling on all manner of witchcraft and wizardry, looks fantastic throughout.

The issue is to be released in February but so far the scoop is that Rowling concedes that, in hindsight, she thinks that Harry and Hermione should have ended up in each other’s chamber of secrets. “I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfilment,” she says. “That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron.”

“I know, I’m sorry,” she continued, “I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I’m absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility. Am I breaking people’s hearts by saying this? I hope not.”

Interviewer Watson agreed with Rowling and said, “I think there are fans out there who know that too and who wonder whether Ron would have really been able to make her happy.”

Ultimately Rowling thinks that, had they ended up together, Ron and Hermione would have needed “relationship counselling.”

The full interview between Rowling and Watson will come out with the Feb/March issue of Wonderland on the 7th of February.
