Bob Katter Wants To Reclaim The Word ‘Gay’ Because It’s His Favourite

Independent MP Bob Katter has long cultivated a reputation for being one of the most consistently cooked members in our Federal Parliament, but this latest stunt might just take the cake for all-time buffoonery.

He wants to reclaim the word ‘gay’ back from the homosexuals. No, we are not joking.

Katter told Sky News this morning that he has a very special affinity with the word, because he once used a quote with the word ‘gay’ in an English exam, and got 84%.

“I have a very clear idea of what is going on here,” he said, his first lie of the morning. “The homosexuals in Australia, they took the word gay.

“It has a particular meaning to me because I got 84% in English, in matriculation, which was a very, very high mark indeed.”

The quote in question was taken from the 18th Century poem ‘The Rape of the Lock‘, which includes the line: “Belinda smiled and all the world was gay.”

Katter, in all his worldly wisdom, reckons that the gays realised that the word ‘gay’ was just the best one in the whole wide dictionary, and decided to take it for themselves.

“It just conjured up a beautiful image, it was the most beautiful word in the English language, and (homosexuals) said, ‘oh God we will take that word and we will have it as ours’,” he said.

“‘Oh they’ve got this thing called marriage, the other mob, we will take that too’. Well what else are they going to take? Are they going to take our freedom to say we don’t approve of what you are doing?”

Yes, Bob. They’re going to take all the nice sounding words and make it illegal for you to say them. The rainbow agenda in this country really is a disgrace.
