Hurricane Patricia Rudely Delays Jennifer Hawkins’ Tequila Launch Party

Not even the combined pull of Jennifer Hawkins and husband Jake Wall can outpower a top wind speed of 323kph.
The couple were forced to postpone the launch of their newest money-churner – a tequila brand called Sesión, inspired by a recent shots session trip to Mexico – after zero-chill Hurricane Patricia messed with the delivery of their booze.
A private release party was scheduled for tomorrow night at a house in Sydney‘s Point Piper, but bitchy Patricia “had other plans for our air freighted stock,” the Js told guests via email.
Here’s the couple’s press statement in full:

“Due to the devastating Hurricane Patricia that hit Mexico at the end of last week, Sesion Tequila’s founders have had to make the decision to move the launch event, because the airfreighted stock that was coming for the event was unable to leave Mexico.

Hurricane Patricia hit Mexico late last week, the largest storm to hit Mexico, which meant that flights were grounded and the stock was unable to take off from its home in Mexico.

The stock that has been sold into our bar and trade partners has left Mexico by sea and is on its way to Australia. To get the stock to Australia in time for the event, it was decided that Sesión would use DHL to air-freight the product to Australia which would take 24 hours, instead of 30 days.

As such, the launch event will be postponed to become a summer kick off event instead, on December 2. We aim to create an even bigger and better party to launch summer.”

DW, JHawk – we’re just as happy to sample your product in December.
