Holy Mother of NOPE: Alan Jones Thinks We Need “More Stolen Generations”

Today in holy fucking shit Australia why keep having this conversation / why do old white men keep getting upset, radio broadcaster Alan Jones believes we need more Stolen Generations.

Jones was getting riled up on 2GB this morning about the NRL Indigenous All Stars game over the weekend, where both an Aboriginal dance was performed and a minute silence was held for the Stolen Generation, a horrendous piece of Australia’s history from 1910 to 1970 where an estimated 100,000+ Aboriginal children were forcibly ripped from their parents.

“What a load of twaddle,” the caller said, referring to the display of Indigenous pride and mourning at the game on Saturday. “And they even had to end with a minute silence for the Stolen Generation. When are they going to believe that half the Stolen Generation were taken for their own protection.”

AND THEN ALAN CHUCKLED.

A SICKENING, KIND-HEARTED CHUCKLE.
“Correct,” he said. “To look after them.”
And here’s where Alan Jones really showed his opinions are as valid and worthy as a microwaved turd that’s been festering in a drain pipe for a week:

“We need stolen generations,” he said. “There’s a whole heap of kids going before the courts now or their families going…
Mums going before the courts or dads who are on top of the world with drugs or alcohol, and suddenly, they [the children] go back into an environment where children are brought up in circumstances.

“These children, for their own benefit, should be taken away.”

And then, finally, he laments a time before political correctness the First Australians were recognised as people and not animals – with equal rights – and their children couldn’t just be snatched up and taken away.

“We’ve gone mad haven’t we?” he said. “We have gone mad. I just thought it was unbelievable.”

JFC, Alan. Go jump in a lake.
