At yesterday’s Comic-Con in San Diego, HBO decided to rub salt in the freshly acquired wounds from Game Of Thrones’ murder ballet known as the Red Wedding, by showing an “in memoriam” video of all the characters who suffered a merciless, bloody fate in Westeros.
And sometimes, when tragedy strikes hard and its sick tendrils engulf you in remorse, the only thing that will absorb tears and comfort a distressed disposition is a calming, emotional power ballad by Boyz II Men. Specifically, ‘It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday’ because the cruel, devilish vixens at HBO clearly think we haven’t suffered enough.
The video delves into every on-screen death across the three Game Of Thrones seasons, mashing up every last breath in quick, heartless succession because maybe a bandaid removal of Game Of Thrones-induced depression will make everything better? Nope. Worse. So much worse.
