George R.R. Martin Pens Trumpocalpyse Blog: “I Told You Winter Was Coming”

George R.R. Martin, the man who knows better than anyone that things can always go from bad to worse, published a blog post this morning that’s shorter and more brutal than sweet Rickon Stark‘s life.

Simply titled ‘President Pussygrabber‘, the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire‘ author expressed his shock, horror, grief and anxiety at Donald Trump becoming America‘s President Elect, emotions felt by a fair bloody whack of the nation and the world right now.

He posted it with a photo of the American flag in the upside-down symbol of distress. Fitting.

Martin wrote:

There are really no words for how I feel this morning.

America has spoken. I really thought we were better than this. Guess not.

Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage.

And the decimated Democrats, a minority in both House and Senate, do not have the power to hinder him.

Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse.

Winter is coming. I told you so.

Heavy.

The one good thing to point out here is that Martin’s website is insanely good because it’s basically a time capsule of mid-00s internet. His blog ends thusly:

Same, George, same.
