A Man Has Finally Been Arrested Over The Fkd Assault Of A Bubble Tea Shop Worker In Adelaide

Someone’s finally been arrested after footage of an attack on a worker at Adelaide bubble tea store Fun Tea went viral.

The video from Friday, January 29, allegedly shows the woman complaining to her former boss that she was never paid for trial shifts, only for another man to come over and slap her in the face.

A huge brawl then broke out, which included the same man kicking the worker in the guts, causing her to fall to the ground.

On Monday night, SA Police arrested the 39-year-old man seen in the video. Police will allege the man assaulted the woman “by striking [her] in the face and kicking her in the stomach.”

He was previously reported to have been known to the woman.

“The victim of the assault, a 20-year-old Adelaide woman, was treated by paramedics at the scene on the night, before being transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment,” a spokesperson for SA Police said. However in a previous statement, her age was reported as 22.

“He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 7 May. The police investigation is continuing.”

The incident first gained traction on AdelaideBBS, a Chinese-language forum in South Australia, but it’s now spread all over English-speaking parts of Reddit and Twitter, too.

Heaps of people are now calling for a total boycott of Fun Tea and other businesses owned by the same man. That said, the man in the black shirt who assaulted the woman is not the owner, Jason Duan.

In the video, more than just one person appeared to be involved in the brawl. Whether even more people will face justice remains to be seen.
