Adult entertainment app Lazeeva surveyed Australians aged 18 to 65 for their frisk levels, and found that Queenslanders are the horniest of them all.
Seriously: Cairns residents aged 39 to 65 are the most sexually active demographic in the whole of Oz. Or the most sexually active to be using Lazeeva’s porn app store. Whatever, still counts.
While Melbourne may have landed the top spot, and Sydney #2, the randy citizens of the Gold Coast, Cairns and Brisbane meant Queensland were well represented in the survey results. The most represented even.
The Gold Coast and Cairns took out spots #3 and #4, ahead of Darwin, Brissy, Perth, Newcastle, Adelaide and Canberra at #10.
Lazeeva chief executive Nico Hribernik said:
“It is interesting to see how something as natural and essential as our libido can be affected by where we live.“Further studies should be made to better understand what are the common denominators that are affecting the sexual life of Australians – as it is crucial for a well balanced society.”
The discreet porn app store last month came up with the most sexual cities in the world for women, by surveying 450,000 people around the world aged between 18 to 70. They also took into account data on contraception and gender equality.
Melbourne came in at #22, behind seven cities in the US, 13 in Europe and the UK, and, most outrageously of all, Auckland at #3. Brisbane made it to #47 and Sydney #50.
And in May Lazeeva came up with the most sex-positive cities in the world by aggregating data on contraception, gender equality, sexual satisfaction, porn consumption and more. Melbourne clocked in at #17, Sydney at #47, Brissy at #50, Perth at #57, and Adelaide at #58.
Conclusion: Melbourne’s quite the big shot in terms of global sexy time standards, but don’t forget, boomers in Cairns are getting laid more than you.
