If you needed more proof that our country is being run by people who literally think that it’s still the 1950s, then this should be all the info you need.
After Eric Abetz‘s recent whinging about being ‘ambushed’ by marriage equality talk, and complaining that the ‘Godless Left’ aren’t accurately portrayed in the media, he has now decided to go live on radio and say a word that I legitimately haven’t heard anyone earnestly say in my lifetime.
We feel like we shouldn’t have to say this, but the n-word (in the range of different forms that have been used in past decades) are 110% not okay to use in 2015. It’s an expletive, and it’s not acceptable: no exceptions.
But Abetz regularly seems to forget what year it is, and apparently longs for the good ol’ days when it was totally chill to refer to a person of colour by using the ‘n-word’.
