Eliza Dushku’s Alleged Abuser Accused Of Having Sex With 16-Year-Old Girl

Two stunt women have accused Hollywood body double and stunt coordinator Joel Kramer of sexual misconduct, days after actor Eliza Dushku alleged Kramer abused her while filming 1994’s True Lies.

Laura Albert, who worked under Kramer on True Lies and 1999’s Virus, told Deadline that Kramer effectively coerced a 16-year-old girl into having sex with him.

In a written statement, Albert said she invited her sister and her sister’s friend onto the set of Virus to give them an insight into the film industry.

“One day after we finished work, I had my sister and her friend, who were 15 and 16 and in the 1oth grade, come out to hang with all the stunt personnel as we were going to go go-karting,” Albert said. “I wanted her to have the experience of having some ‘good clean fun’ in the setting of a professional industry.”

Albert said the stunt crew left after go-karting as they had early call-times the next morning, but that without her knowledge Kramer had “lured the girls to go swimming at the pool in his hotel.”

It was there Kramer allegedly “pulled his dick out and said, ‘You cannot handle this,’ and then began to swim towards them.”

Albert said her sister left, leaving her friend alone with Kramer. “Even today, she feels guilty for having left her friend,” Albert said.

The 16-year-old girl and Kramer then allegedly had sex in his hotel room.

Kramer has denied elements of the allegation, including the claim he had sex with the girl.

“I was swimming laps one early evening and the sister of one of my stunt doubles and her friend showed up at the pool,” Kramer said. “I did not invite them. They swam around and I finished my laps and went up to my room alone. Period. You don’t know me, but I am not a liar.”

In his own written statement, Kramer said the girl knocked on his hotel room door. “She came in and we fooled around but no intercourse. She left about 1/2 hour later,” he said, adding  “I absolutely almost made a huge mistake with the girl from the Wilmington shoot, as I said, I won’t lie about it.”

Kramer maintained the interaction was consensual.

Albert said the girl informed her of the incident several weeks after it occurred, at which point she contacted police in North Carolina. She was informed the age of consent in the state was 16, meaning the alleged intercourse didn’t qualify as statutory rape.

She said she confronted Kramer the day after, at which point he admitted he had sex with the girl. “I said to him, ‘I’m not going to go back to LA and talk about this, but if I am asked, I am not going to lie for you,’” Albert recounted. “And that is how I still feel today.”

Dushku had also alleged to have been assaulted by Kramer after swimming with him.

A second stunt woman, who declined to use her real name, said she was in a car with Kramer in the late 1970s or early 1980s when “he pulled his vehicle over, unzipped his pants, pulled out his penis.”

She stated “he grabbed me by the back of my head and forced my face down”. After the alleged incident, she said she never told anyone because she was “frightened, scared and ashamed,” and in fear of industry reprisals.

Kramer also denied that allegation.

Worldwide Production Agency, Kramer’s employer, dropped him shortly after Dushku’s first allegation.
