See! We told you that ‘Star Wars Day‘ was an excellent day all-around. But, y’know, more so if you’re a giant Star Wars geek.
In celebration of May the 4th, EA Games announced that there’s a new Star Wars game in the works, despite ‘Battlefront’ only being released only last November.
In a press release, executive vice president of EA Studios Patrick Söderlund said he was, “thrilled to announced” that the gaming giant would be going forward with a brand new game set in the Star Wars universe.

While there’s very little information out in the universe about the game yet, here’s what we know:
- It’s a 3rd-person, action adventure game set in the Star Wars universe.
- It’s being created with Respawn Entertainment, who are responsible for ‘Titanfall’.
- ‘God of War”s Stig Asmussen is spearheading the project, and promised to “pay respect to the Star Wars legacy at all times.”
Söderlund: “There’s never been a better time to be a Star Wars fan. The passion we’re seeing for Star Wars from gamers is fuelling our development teams and our partners to create unique interactive extensions of this deep, meaningful universe. As a game maker, nothing is more exciting.”
