Ahsoka Tano Is Finally Getting A Spin-Off Series & I Think I Just Peed My Pants A Little

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tona is finally getting a live-action spin-off series at Disney+. After years and years and years of waiting, it’s happening.

Long story short, here: Disney announced a slew of new titles set in the Star Wars universe today. There’s Andor, starring Rogue One’s Diego Luna and a new animated series called The Bad Batch (!!!!!!!). Disney also announced more details about the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, starring ol’ mate Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master.

And when I say details I mean Hayden bloody Christensen will return as Darth Vader.

Lord.

ANYWAY, after 84 years we’re finally copping Ahsoka.

Ahsoka is Anakin Skywalker’s former Jedi Padawan, who we all got to know and love in The Clone Wars. Her character went on to appear in Star Wars Rebels, before making her live-action premiere in The Mandalorian season 2 this year.

Rosario Dawson, who made her debut as Ahsoka in Mando, will reprise her role in the live-action series.

The series will be set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, Disney announced.

Disney also revealed another series called Rangers of the New Republic is headed to the streaming service, which is also set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, and will premiere on Disney+.

All of these titles were announced during Disney’s annual Investor Conference on Thursday, hence the amount of Star Wars content all over the socials right now.

The entertainment giant also confirmed daddy Taika Waititi will direct a brand new Star Wars feature. Details are under lock and key right now, but if Waititi’s behind it, I’ll watch it.

OH, and there’s also going to be a Lando Calrissian series as well. Why not?

Bit getting about today, hey?

Apart from Ahsoka, I’m probably most excited for The Bad Batch. I bloody loved The Clone Wars, still do.

Disney unleashed a little teaser for the series and I just – it looks good.

Disney also gave us a little look at Andor, including some behind-the-scenes footage and concept art.
