Normally when you have a new phone number and you keep getting texts intended for the previous owner of your digits, you feel no social obligation toward your mystery texters.
Maybe you’re wrong to assume so. When brothers Deorick and Dennis Williams received an accidental invitation into a group text announcing the birth of a new baby at a nearby hospital, they decided that fate compelled them to come say g’day to the baby and present a gift.
So they did.

“Well I don’t know y’all but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby.” is basically the human capability for kindness and thirst for online virality distilled into one beautiful sentence. Nothing like corralling the crew for a spontaneous hospital trip that isn’t for an injury.
Clearly this exhange has automatically catapulted into the top ten most productive group chats in history, with very little competition. The original accidental texter posted on Facebook that she wished “we all had this kind of heart.”
