Dropkick Dog Owner Gives Up Pooch To NSW Pound Cos It “Pooped Too Much”

Thank you all for coming here today, for this most important of stories. Make yourselves comfortable and settle in for the following tale titled, as you may have guessed, ‘The Dog Who Pooped Too Much’.

Our story takes place in the northern New South Wales town of Tamworth, where the local dog pound has been forced to reiterate to potential dog owners the importance of researching your pet’s needs and requirements, after a owner surrendered a gorgeous Ridgeback-mix because he was “pooing too much”.
Obviously this owner has never heard of the popular kids book, and essential life lesson ‘Everyone Poops‘, or he or she would have realised that pet-ownership is like 50% poop management.
Also, would you just look at him! Look at his adorable little face! I’d let this handsome little fella poop wherever & whenever he wanted to tbh.
The story ends well, with the Ridgey rehomed after only one day at the Tamworth pound, probs due to the fact their Facebook post went viral (for a regional council administered FB page anyway) with over 200 shares.
The pound has also noted that they didn’t percieve the Ridgeback’s poop output as any higher or lower than any other pooch that size, which just makes the former owners even bigger deadshits imho. If you’re gonna own a dog and benefit from their endless joy and companionship, you’re gonna have to clean up their shit. Thats just the rules, I’m sorry.
A council spokesman had this to say, on people needing to properly commit to dog ownership:

“People need to do their research, there is plenty of information online. If they want, they can come in and talk to the girls at the pound, or a vet, about a cat or dog their thinking of and they can give you advice on cost to microchip, desex and vaccinate, along with ongoing costs and exercise needs.”

If you’re in the Tamworth region, chuck the pound’s Facebook a like to keep up to date with all their furry companions. And remember… Dogs be poopin’.
