Yes, the RSPCA in Sydney is waiving all cat and kitten adoption fees from today until Friday, 5 February, in a bid to help shift the 130+ plus felines currently waiting for their forever homes.
Between the Sydney Shelter and Rouse Hill Care Centre, there are 52 cats and 85 kittens all available for adoption for 0 dollars and 0 cents – plus all animals are desexed, microchipped and vet checked.
Now, we must stress: having a pet is a big responsibility and, even though it’s hard to control your desire to squeeze the life out of something that’s so cute and also costs you no monies up front, they shouldn’t be an impulse purchase.
It’s always a good idea to take stock of your current situation before taking on one of these cuties – i.e. do you have enough room in your home/apartment, and are you home often enough to give it heaps of love?.
If the answer is yes, HOORAY: go get your new best friend.
