Ohmygiddybloodygod, stop whatever you are doing and start hitting refresh on The Australian‘s 404 page, because this is some of the greatest corporate / Auspol humour ever produced.
Instead of your generic, run-of-the-mill 404 error message, The Australian will now randomly generate a different current or former Aussie politician riffing on the state of broken links.
For example:
The Australian confirmed to PEDESTRIAN.TV that the 404 pages – written by political columnist James Jeffrey – have been live for about two weeks now, but they were only discovered (and promptly frothed over) by Twitter today (which we can first trace back to The Herald Sun‘s Rob Harris, but let us know if we’ve gone flubbed).
We cannot possibly pick a favourite, but Penny Wong is definitely up there.
