
A stuntperson has died while performing a stunt on the set of Deadpool 2, according to a statement issued by Vancouver Police.
The female driver, whose name has not been released, was reportedly performing a motorcycle stunt when she was killed.
A stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpool during a stunt on a motorcycle. VPD & @WorkSafeBC investigators are at the scene.

20th Century Fox, the studio behind Deadpool 2, issued a short statement in response to the death:
We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of ‘Deadpool 2’ this morning. Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.
Ryan Reynolds, who stars as Deadpool, issued his own statement via a post on social media, saying that the cast and crew are “heartbroken, shocked and devastated.”
This is the second death that has occurred on a high-profile shoot in recent weeks. John Bernecker, a stunt performer for The Walking Dead, died in July after a fall on the show’s set in Georgia.
