Chris Dawson, the former Sydney schoolteacher, rugby league star and subject of the hit podcast The Teacher’s Pet has today entered a formal plea in the murder of his wife, Lynette, who disappeared from the Northern Beaches area under suspicious circumstances in 1982.
Dawson’s lawyer Greg Walsh formally entered a plea of not guilty during proceedings at Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court earlier today.
According to 9 News, the matter is due back in court on August 8.
Now 70-year-old Dawson was charged in December last year for the murder of his former wife Lynette, which came after investigative journalist Hedley Thomas‘ Walkey Award-winning podcast The Teacher’s Pet had seen enormous global success.
