Alleged Camilla And Marc Thieves Charged After Cops Find Items Posted Online

Four people have been charged in relation to an alleged smash-and-grab at a Sydney Camilla and Marc boutique, which saw hundreds of thousands of dollars of merchandise stolen from the Rosebery store.

Three men, aged 21, 22, and 23, and one woman, aged 19, were arrested in a series of raids across the city yesterday following the December 29 incident.

CCTV footage released after the incident showed a man using a sledgehammer to smash a glass door. Several other figures entered could be seen pulling clothing straight from the store’s racks.

Police were notified of the break-in by an alarm and attended the scene shortly after. Authorities were unable to find the perpetrators at the time.

Authorities allege that some of the stolen merchandise, which can retail for over $1,000 per item, was later advertised on online marketplaces for suspiciously low prices. Some of the merchandise has been recovered.

It is also alleged that the men stole a car from a mechanic’s workshop before the boutique robbery.

The 19-year-old woman was charged with three counts of disposing of stolen property and dealing with the proceeds of crime. She was granted bail, and will face Downing Centre Local Court on February 5.

The 22-year-old man was charged with breaking and entering, and charges pertaining to the stolen car. He was bailed to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on January 9.

The 21-year-old man was also charged with breaking and entering, offences relating to the stolen car, and a smattering of other charges. He was refused bail and was scheduled to face Central Local Court today.

The 23-year-old man faced faced similar charges, and was also refused bail. He too was scheduled to face Central Local Court today.
