QLD Man Charged With Torture After Allegedly Holding Roommate For Months

A man from the Brisbane suburb of Logan has accused his housemate of assault and alleged that he was held against his will for “a number of months”.

The man visited Beenleigh police station at 4.15pm on Sunday, and reported being assaulted in a home in Kingston the night before. He also stated that he had been held against his will for a number of months at the Kingston address.

The victim was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment for a number of lacerations and bruising.

A 20-year-old man and a 23-year-old-man have been charged with torture and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. It’s understood that the 23-year-old was the victim’s flatmate.

While the man told the police of the alleged hold against his will, no deprivation of liberty charges have been laid against the two accused. They will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
