An Aussie Landlord Has Been Accused Of Banning Sex Because Of A ‘No Sleepover’ Rental Rule

A landlord has been accused of banning sex after their Queensland apartment listing featured a bizarre no sleepover rule for guests.

With the recent landlord horror stories that have come out of the woodwork, it seems like renters cannot have anything nice. Not one single thing, not even a sleepover.

Most recently, a landlord has sparked outrage on TikTok after a user named Beep Yen (@beep___yen) accused them of banning sexy time from their “micro apartment” that they’ve put on the market for AUD$370 a week.

No rooting in a home that I’m paying for? I think the fuck not.

In the TikTok, which now has more than 89.9k views, Beep highlighted the bonkers guideline whilst voicing her anger towards the property owner who added the rule.

“Each apartment is for single occupancy only due to council and fire restrictions. Guests are permitted to visit but are not able to stay overnight,” the listing reads, which has been described as a “fully furnished, designer micro apartment”.

“Australian landlords are banning sex in their apartments… Well, nice sex anyways,” the TikToker began.

“Even though it’s your apartment. You live in by yourself. You pay rent for. No sleepovers.

“It’s gonna have to be a smash and dash.”

Since posting the TikTok, Beep Yen has received a plethora of ~spicy~ comments, with some folks agreeing with the rule for a naughty reason.

“Perfect ‘This was great, but I’m afraid you’ll have to leave… no no I would totally have you stay, but my landlord,’” one person wrote.

“It’s not staying over if we never actually went to sleep,” another cheeky boi added.

“My landlord told me that if I have guests over I need to let them know 2-3 days in advance,” wrote a third.

Looking deeper into the reason behind the bizarre rule, it turns out that the unit has been classified as “rooming accommodation”, which can be compared to a hostel or off-site student accommodation. Therefore, there’s a limit on how many occupants each unit can host, as per news.com.au.

Some folks have stated this classification in their comments in an attempt to explain why the bonkers rule is on the listing.

However, in a twist of events, Beep Yen claimed that the agency is allegedly “illegally classing the units as rooming accommodation”.

Look, one of the biggest joys in the world is a cheeky little root.

And if I had to live in a place with no sleepovers, I would be outie!
