Australia’s Olympic Uniforms Are Here, And They Sure Are Green & Gold

Well, look. We all had some mixed feelings about the official Australian formal uniforms for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
Some quite liked the slightly preppy look. Others thought it was gear better suited to upper-class white people sipping Pimm’s & Lemonade on a Sunday afternoon whilst plotting to economically oppress minorities.
Today marks the grand reveal of the actual athletic gear that our representatives will be sporting when they compete for Gold in the Games of the XXXI Olympiad.
Adidas launched the line of gear under the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in a media event held this morning.
And, well… One thing’s for sure, they’re definitely green and gold.

Hell yeah. Check out those colours. They sure are there.

How ’bout that green and gold; the colours that proudly do not adorn the flag.

Bloody get around them. My goodness.

In all honesty, a straightforward design is a welcome change from the bonkers attempts of yore. And they’re infinitely better than the Ken Done fever dream that were the Glasgow Commonwealth Games printed unis.
Hoooo boy.
