
Multiple people are dead and up to fifty injured after a truck plowed into a Christmas market in Berlin in what police have described as a “deliberate attack”.

Police have confirmed at least nine people have been killed, making this the second vehicle attack in Europe since the terrorist attack in Nice earlier this year. The incident took place a Breitscheidplatz, close to the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church on the Kurfuerstendamm.
Visuals of the scene after the attack have emerged via videos and photographs taken by bystanders.

According to local reports the driver has not yet been apprehended, and police have launched a manhunt. The incident took place just an hour after the shooting of a Russian ambassador by an off-duty policeman in Ankara.
