Andrew Bolt’s Somehow Landed A Spot On ABC’s Indigenous Recognition Doco

There’s letting the fox in the henhouse, then there’s this.

Real human being Andrew Bolt announced on his blog today that he would be featuring in a documentary produced by the ABC pause – about Indigenous constitutional recognition.

Really, truly dooly, have a look:
Bolt, a veritable dirigible of neocon rhetoric, has an, uh, ‘interesting history’ in the realm of Indigenous issues. Of course, a court found him guilty of breaching the Racial Discrimination Act in 2011 for articles claiming some Aboriginal individuals weren’t black enough to carry the title.
With that in mind, the apparently proposed title of the new program – “I Can Change Your Mind About Recognitionseems tailor-made to allow Bolt a soap-box on his traditional sworn enemy the ABC.

It’s been suggested the project will pit the commentator against another “fierce individual” from the opposition camp, and the internet’s already having a bit of fun/absolute, total confusion about the whole issue.

Make no mistake, it’s a very important issue and it’s sure to grab some eyeballs. Still, allowing the guy who campaigns pretty relentlessly about Aunty’s lefty bias an opportunity to have his say on the network’s already-slim dime? Well…
