A Kid In Queensland Went And Got Himself Stuck In A Claw Machine

Those claw machines, man – they’re goddamn rigged and we all know it. The chances of you actually winning the free iPhone are about as strong as the claw’s grip power – a.k.a. slim to fuckin’ none.

A kid in Queensland took one look at the unwinnable system, thought yeah, nah, and climbed right up on inside, getting himself stuck between a penguin and a teddy bear.

The toddler was trapped for a grand total of three minutes. Centre staff at the Mt Sheridan shopping centre in Cairns promptly got the key and returned him, unharmed, to the outside world. It’s not known if he got to keep either the penguin or the teddy bear.

In a piece last year called ‘Why Kids Keep Getting Stuck In Claw Toy Machines‘, ABC News in the U.S. reported that the tantalising nature of claw machines means that, for kids, “going inside is like entering a magic land”.
