’13 Reasons Why’ S2 Has Been Confirmed So Start Your Wild Speculation

In today’s most inevitable entertainment news: Netflix’s monster hit 13 Reasons Why has officially been renewed for a second season, with the streaming service saying the next installment will focus on the events following the suicide of high schooler Hannah Baker.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed the next thirteen episodes of the drama – natch – will focus on the reverberating impact of Baker’s death, and the lives of her friends, family, and everyone inbetween.

God knows there were some unfinished plot points in there.

It’s set to debut in 2018, with the show’s backbone remaining intact. The show’s mastermind Brian Yorkey will remain in charge, and Aussie young gun Katherine Langford seems set to return to hash out Baker’s backstory through flashbacks and the like.

This announcement follows a string of clues pointing to the show’s renewal. No long ago, it was revealed that the show’s writer’s room was penning scripts in anticipation of Netflix signing back on, and actor Ross Butler also pulled out of his other high-profile gig Riverdale due to unspecified scheduling conflicts.
