Kanye West, now known simply as Ye, appeared on the 44th season premiere of Saturday Night Live as a musical guest earlier today. Adam Driver hosted the show while West performed alongside Teyana Taylor, Kid Cudi, and Lil Pump to name a few.
To perform his latest track ‘I Love It’ with Lil Pump, West dressed up as a giant Perrier bottle of sparkling water and Lil Pump donned a giant Fiji (still) water costume. Adele Givens, who features on the song, can be seen in a video behind them.
The costumes are most likely in reference to the lyrics:
When the first time they ask you if you want sparklin’ or still?
Why you tryna act like you was drinkin’ sparklin’ water ‘fore you came out here?
In the official music video for I Love It, West and Lil Pump wear oversized box-like clothing and giant Yeezy slides so this is new.

Two days before the performance West tweeted he would be releasing his new album Yandhi on Saturday night however no new music was performed during SNL. Instead the artist performed ‘We Got Love’ with Taylor and ‘Ghost Town’ with Kid Cudi. The latter was performed during the end credits of the show.

Though SNL had reached the end of its time slot and had ended on television, the 41-year-old decided to give a political speech while wearing his Make America Great Again cap.
Those who were at the live show streamed parts of his speech to their Instagram accounts including close friend Chris Rock. You can find a number of videos from the night on Rock’s account HERE.
“So many times I talk to a white person, they say ‘How can you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was so concerned about racism I would have moved out of America a long time ago,” West can be heard saying.
West also made reference to his presidential run in 2020 and the need for the people to have “dialogue and not diatribe.”
In other clips found on Twitter West says, “You wanna see the sunken place? Okay, Imma listen to y’all now. Imma put my superman cape on, because this means you can’t tell me what to do… You want the world to move forward? Try love.”
