X-Factor Winner Samantha Jade Has As Many Law Suits As Hit Singles [One, For Now]

Australia’s diminutive answer to the question posed by Carly Rae Jepsen [“Why not?”], Samantha Jade is one-for-one where both hit singles and law suits are concerned. Congrats girl, you’re lawyering up; you’ve made it!

According to today’s Telegraph, Jade is currently facing legal action “from a disgruntled former management team” Camp West Recorders Inc presidents John Harris and Ty Knox who are reportedly suing the singer, Sony Music, Parade Artists, FremantleMedia Australia and Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment company for “damages and alleged contract breaches.”
Check your inbox ‘cos they’re probably suing you too – they’re suing everybody out there.
Harris and Knox allege they spent $2 million on a development deal with a then fifteen-year-old Jade, who moved to Los Angeles – City of #GreenJuice, City of Lynchian Nightmares – to become a Teen Idol. The two told Sydney Confidential “We developed Samantha as an artist. We wanted her to be a big star and our role was to do whatever was necessary to take her to the next level.”
It would take another eleven years for Samantha Jade to land on a super mushroom and reach The Next Level by winning The X Factor: Australia
You do the math.
Samantha Jade’s – reportedly anthemic – new single is due out June 28th.
