Sydney’s home-made disco punk 2-piece, WOW, are donning their Levis now that the jeans brand’s off side music label Levity have thrown signed paper their way.
If you live in Sydney you’ve probably heard WOW on FBI, if you live online you’ve probably read props about them on America’s Big Stereo, or maybe even Australia’s Hyperbole or havefunclub. And if you’re totally unknowing to the pair then I should probably tell you that their press release recounts their music as showing signs of “LCD Sound System, Crystal Castles and Gang of Four.” Or as Australian music street press paper Drum Media would have it; ‘WOW is the non-musician’s musician / explorer in the garage having the recording party of a life- time.’ Feb 2008
Lets just hope Levity help them make more noise then the other 2 bands on their roster, Cut Off Your Hands and Mercy Arms, of which both have had big hype, rightfully so, yet neither have really transitioned that into anything worth blogging about.
