A fair while ago, Rupert Grint copped to being mistaken for Ed Sheeran on an increasingly common basis. Now, the ice cream truck driver and former big-screen wand-wielder has leaned right the hell in to that comparison: he’s turned Sheeran into one of his characters.
Well, that’s not entirely accurate. On a recent MTV skit, Grint played himself playing Sheeran, as a stitch-up to everyone who’s ever confused the pair.
It’s all well and good to hear Grint joke how “after Potter, all I wanted to do was stretch myself. Create some real magic,” but the idea of the dude actually buying a guitar and growing some “wispy facial hair” for a long-con project is pretty compelling.
