Watch Queen Kylie Minogue Rule Sydney Mardi Gras

Few people at the Sydney Mardi Gras – gay, straight and otherwise – would be honoured with the kind of reception that Kylie Minogue was given on Saturday night. Kylie has often acknowledged her huge gay fan base as the most loyal, having stood by her through every phase in her 25-year career in pop music.

The parade was heavy with costumed tributes to the diminutive singer including gold lame hot pants, the white hooded onesie from “Can’t Get You Outta My Head”, the pink feathers and sequins from her “Showgirl” tour, and a Grecian-inspired homage to her “Aphrodite Les Folies” tour. This year she gave as good as she got. During her performance at the official Mardi Gras Party Kylie managed to cram in as many hits into her 20-minute set as possible. Check out the footage below. (It’s pretty crap so as soon as the official footage is released we will update.)
