In April Holy Ghost! traded in the straight ahead rock of LCD Soundsystem’s endorphin chasing “Drunk Girls” for wamp wamp basslines, cosmic flourishes and a relentlessly chuggy drum beat. It was great – no better or worse than the hedonistic source material, just different. Similarly the clip for Holy Ghost’s “Drunk Girls” reworking trades in Spike Jonze’s panda suits and humiliation for slow motion bike jousting in Portland. Not too sure which cut/video we like more but we’re 100% positive that bike jousting would be an epic way to go out.
