WATCH: Anderson. Paak Teams With Sydney Producer Moonbase For Fire New Tune

Cali hip-hop superstar in the making Anderson .Paak is steadily en route to becoming a Bloody Big Deal, with a buzzy as all heck 2016 rewarding him with a couple of well-deserved noms at next week’s Grammy awards, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgetting the mates he meets on the way to said superstardom, as proved by the straight-up-fire new track released today by Sydney producer Moonbase, in which he’s kindly lent his inimitable verse to.
‘It Don’t Matter’ is the end result of the cross-continental collab and sees Moony’s base-laden beats perfectly align with .Paak’s punchy vocal stylings.
Speaking to P.TV, Moonbase (real name Nick Luke) says the melding of the two came about surprisingly easy:

“I’m really into .Paak’s style and thought this beat fitted his attitude. I hit him up through email, he liked it and so we put a track together. Usually with collaborations you’re expected to workshop beats to get it to a place you’re both happy with, and see how the song develops. But with Anderson, it was a very clear vision from both ends.”

Shot in crisp af black and white and featuring some insane wire work that would make even Lady Gaga quiver in fear, the music video for the sleek new track also drops today, and ya mates P.TV have the exclusive Aus premiere for you.
Also, look at these bloody cuties when they met for the first time IRL at last year’s Listen Out fest:
